Notes

The Virginia Journal of International Law has approximately four Notes Pools each year. We will consider any Note related to international law that was written while the author was a student. While we prefer to consider your Note in one of our Notes Pools, we will try to accommodate requests for an expedited review if a Note has been extended an offer of publication with another journal.

Students who would like their Note to be considered for publication should meet these requirements:

  1. Submit a copy of your piece to vjilnotes@gmail.com.
  2. For UVA students only, your name should not appear on the work.  Please provide your name and phone number in the body of your email.

Please include a cover page with:

  1. The title of your Note;
  2. A 250 word or less abstract, single-spaced, which briefly summarizes the argument of your Note;
  3. A list of the five sources cited that are most related to your work;
  4. The word count of your Note.
Our current Notes Pool is accepting submissions until 11:59 P.M. on Friday, May 14, 2010.  If you have any questions, please contact Neepa Mehta, the Notes Development Editor, at vjilnotes@gmail.com.
